3/2/10
kinda
cool, kinda creepy with el presidente around here..
earlier
this morning 3 helicopters landed causing a huge commotion around here...
then i just went to run an errand at Cablemas...holy cow...a police
officer or military dude on EVERY corner around...in la gloria and in
colonia salina chica and colonia metereologica (near the baseball
field)...
when i saw the 3 helicopters had landed on the baseball field and a big
bus outside the local PRI headquarters, my completely uninformed opinion
tells me el presidente is 1) at the PRI giving an "atta-boy"
speech or 2) at the cuban bar doing a few "mayan sacrifices"
before the big speech...
as always, i have no evidence to substantiate a thing...
i have never seen such a big military and police presence as there is
RIGHT NOW...
so i figured it is not a good time to get hammered at the cuban bar and
try and drive home...(and for those of you with zero sense of humor, that
was a JOKE)...
**side bar** so if you say "i mean no disrespect" right before
you trash someones reputation, does it make it respectful? it is very
confusing when people do that to me....** side bar end**
so...with no disrespect...perhaps i should have waltzed into the cuban bar
and offered to buy a round for the boys? i would love to see the looks on
their faces...although it is a tad too close to the police station 1/2
block away...i was gonna go and ask if i could use his cell phone, then
rummage thru it and see if george w is still on his quick-dial...then make
a prank call, hang up, then run like hell...would be kinda fun, huh?
by the way, it seems odd to me with an airstrip fairly close by, why in
the world did they land at the baseball field...hmmmmm...el presidente in
spring training nowadays?
although i cannot make it to the speech (as i am working sOOOO hard at
home right now), it would be fun if there was a little q & a after the
speech to ask him these politically incorrect questions about the
happenings of este tarde...
if anyone goes to the speech, would be curious to know of all the military
presence there as well...
been a creepy afternoon in our quiet little neighborhod, that is for
sure....
