there are two GREAT options that we recommend for you while staying at Casa Roca Caribe:

we ask out good friend to take out some our guests in the past...his name is Lorenzo Sosa, and you just cannot believe what a great guy he is, or what a great swimmer he is or how helpful he is.  Lorenzo is just superb and i trust him with our guests and my family.  he will take you to a 3 or 4 places just off the island including the lighthouse, Manchones Reef and a couple other places.  cost for his "Deluxe Snorkel Tour" is 40.00 usd per person and the trip will last 3-4 hours.  i guarantee you this:  it is a bargain at twice the price...Jimbo can set it up for you, so please send an e-mail if you want to pay for this in advance.

Garafon de Castilla Snorkel Park is located on the Cancun side of Punta Sur here on the island and is a great family snorkel park.  cost is only 50 pesos per person for the entrance fee and you can rent any snorkel gear you would like for 10 pesos per piece.  they have a full restaurant and bar, beach chairs, shaded tables and chairs.  even for experienced snorkelers, this is a fun and relaxing way to see a whole bunch of fish all around you for as long as you like and you can get in the water as many times as you please.  this is a great place to take kids just learning or anyone that has a little apprehension about being around the fish or being in the water.  Jimbo gives this place 2 big thumbs up!
