Turtle Release 9/1/09

so i got the call yesterday afternoon from the nice folks at villa bella that the turtles were set to be released...
i had not seen this before, so i thought i would go check it out...after all, i had a long day at work and needed to get out for a bit...
what i saw was quite amazing...
the crowd started to grow and everyone was full of anticipation...
this little cutie looked like she was ready for some fun...
here are some of the ladies that helped get things going...
i got this pic purely by chance...holy cow..look at the looks on the kids
faces on the far left...think they are just a bit interested or what?
and take a look at how cute these little turtles are...and smaller than the palm of your hand...she is holding him with 2 fingers...
here comes one of the first groups to be freed...

i would be hard presed to find anyone cuter than those two precious little girls...
the march to the caribbean sea continues...
this little guy is giving it an "A" effort...
as always, la isla leads the world in smiles per capita...
here, a little boy lends a helping hand...
i hope this little guy made it...
so i have a couple of questions...
one is...has anyone else seen this...what did you think of it all?
also...i think it is the turtle farm that does this...am i right? anyone have any insight into this whole project and how it all got started...
overall, not only was it facinating, it just made me feel good...
deep down good...like life is good...
like it should be....and with all the garbage in this world today, it sure is great to be treated to something like this...
and for one brief hour, all is good in the world...
